When it comes to adding a gate to your home or business, there are many options to consider. Gates can either swing or slide open and there are several factors that can determine your decision on which one to choose. The number one factor is space. You need to be able to determine how much space is available for the swing distance of a gate or how much space is available for a gate to retract if you're going for a slide gate. Swing gates can either be single or double. Single swing gate will occupy more swing distance than double swing gates however, double swing gates will need more hardware. With swing gates you also need to take into consideration if there is space for it to swing outward without being a danger to the public or if it will need to swing inward.
